HISTORY

I have been interested in sewing and fashions since I was about 10 years old. I made my first bridal gown over 35 years ago and now that bride is a grandmother.

I have always dreamed about opening my own bridal shop someday, but I really didn’t think that my dream would come true. About seven years ago, I took a coffee break from my job at the Court House and went to the Photography shop, which was going out of business. When I walked into the shop, the idea hit me, this is it, my bridal shop! So, after months of painting, cleaning and decorating I was ready to open.

On April 1, 2001, I had my Grand Opening (with and opening date like that, I hoped that I wasn’t going to make a “Fool” of myself in this new venture). The business grew rapidly, adding new lines all of the time. (I had to quit my job of 11 years in District Court, but I have kept so busy, I don’t even miss it.)

I love my new job, it is so rewarding to help the brides find that dream dress. There aren’t very many occupations where a customer hugs you and cries because they won’t get to see you anymore. I know I am really making a difference in someone’s life and then I realize that all of the hours and hours of work I put in every week has been worth every minute.
